a Transformation
Metro VancouverThis is a renovation and redesign of a 1960’s home for a Coquitlam family of five. The site is a standard suburban grass lot with little privacy from either built elements or planting. Windows, cladding, and strategic additions of space through projections, all contribute to freshen the look and character of the house, while allowing for interior changes which make for a better fit for the family’s lifestyle. A shifting of interior locations creates a more unified setting for domestic life. A custom garage takes its design cues from the house and works with it, along with some simple landscaping features, to knit the property together.
